The Grove is a primary care clinic designed for a rural Northwest Montana community where trust and familiarity are essential to supporting long-term wellness. Inspired by the forest edge, the clinic uses natural elements familiar to rural residents to ground the design in a strong sense of place, reduce stress, and provide a peaceful backdrop for patients and providers. Carefully choreographed transitions between clinic zones support intuitive wayfinding for patients of all ages, while perforated screens abstracted from tree branches create visual calm and acoustic comfort. Echoing the gentle transitions of the forest, The Grove is designed to calm, orient, and welcome rural patients.
